Լեհաստանում ամերիկյան զորքերի նոր մշտական ռազմաբազայում տեղակայվելու է 5,000 զինծառայող։ Այս մասին RMF FM ռադիոկայանի եթերում հայտարարել է Լեհաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարի տեղակալ Պավել Բեյդան, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

«Ինչ վերաբերում է մշտական բազային, խոսքը 5 հազար զինծառայողի մասին է», - պատմել է Բեյդան։ Որոշումը, թե կոնկրետ ինչ զորքեր և քանի բազա կլինի՝ մեկ, թե մի քանի, կընդունվի ՆԱՏՕ-ի մակարդակով, հստակեցրել է լեհական պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ներկայացուցիչը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ դրական որոշման ընդունումից հետո բուն բազայի հայտնվելը կարող է տևել մի քանի տարի։ Բեյդան ընդգծել է, որ բազայի կառուցման բոլոր ծախսերը իր վրա է վերցնելու Լեհաստանը, ծախսերը կարող են կազմել ավելի քան 10 միլիարդ զլոտի (2,7 միլիարդ դոլար)։

Հունիսի 3-ին Լեհաստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Վլադիսլավ Կոսինյակ-Կամիշը ԱՄՆ ռազմական նախարար Փիթ Հեգսեթին է փոխանցել Լեհաստանում ամերիկյան զորքերի նոր մշտական ռազմաբազա ստեղծելու պաշտոնական առաջարկը։ Սեպտեմբերի 10-ից 11-ը Լեհաստանում է գտնվում Պենտագոնի պատվիրակությունը, որը կզննի Վարշավայի կողմից պոտենցիալ ռազմաբազայի համար առաջարկված վայրերը։
