Օգոստոսի 19-ին՝ ժամը 21։00-ի սահմաններում, Ճամբարակ քաղաք տանող ավտոճանապարհին, դեռևս չպարզված հանգամանքներում, քաղաքացու վարած «Գազ-53» մակնիշի ավտոմեքենան վրաերթի է ենթարկել մի քանի զինծառայողի, որոնցից մեկը՝ զինծառայող Սուրեն Մամբրեի Վարդանյանը, մահացել է, հայտնում են ՊՆ-ից։

Դեպքի հանգամանքներն ամբողջովին պարզելու նպատակով ընթանում է քննություն:

Պաշտպանության նախարարությունը վշտակցում և զորակցություն է հայտնում մահացած զինծառայողի ընտանիքի անդամներին ու հարազատներին:

Մյուս զինծառայողները (վերջիններիս ընտանիքները սահմանված կարգով տեղեկացված են դեպքի մասին) տեղափոխվել են զինվորական հոսպիտալ, նրանց կյանքին վտանգ չի սպառնում, գտնվում են հոսպիտալի բուժանձնակազմի հսկողության ներքո:
