Ֆիլիպինների հարավում տեղի ունեցած 7,8 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժի զոհերի թիվը հասել է 45-ի: Այս մասին հաղորդում է ABS-CBN News հեռուստաալիքը:

Հանրապետության Քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության վարչության տվյալներով՝ 630 մարդ վիրավորվել է, 17-ն անհետ կորած է:

Երկրաշարժը տեղի է ունեցել Մինդանաո կղզու հարավային ափին հունիսի 8-ի առավոտյան: Տեղական իշխանությունները հայտնել են 2500 տների վնասման մասին, որոնցից 460-ը լիովին ավերվել է: Խեներալ Սանտոս քաղաքում հայտարարվել է արտակարգ դրություն: Ավելի քան 145 000 բնակիչ է տուժել տարերքի հետևանքներից:

Ֆիլիպինների հրաբխագիտության և սեյսմոլոգիայի ինստիտուտը (PHIVOLCS) հայտնել է երկրաշարժից հետո ավելի քան 2000 հետցնցում գրանցելու մասին։ Կրկնվող ցնցումների մագնիտուդը տատանվել է 1,3-ից մինչև 6,4։ Տեղի բնակիչներն զգացել են 47 հետցնցում:
