«Հրապարակ» օրաթերթը գրում է. ԲՏԱ նախարար Մխիթար Հայրապետյանը, որ սովորել է ԵՊՀ արեւելագիտության ֆակուլտետի թուրքագիտության բաժնում, 2015-ին, երբ եղել է 25 տարեկան, աշխատել է «Ախթամար տուր» տուրիստական ընկերությունում՝ որպես էքսկուրսավար։

Նա տուրիստական խմբեր է ուղեկցել Արեւմտյան Հայաստան, պատմել հայրենիքի կորսված մասին, ցեղասպանության եւ Թուրքիայի ժխտողականության մասին։ 2018 թվականին, երբ նա նշանակվեց սփյուռքի նախարար, հրապարակված իր կենսագրության մեջ «Ախթամար տուր»-ում աշխատելու մասին հիշատակում կար, իսկ այժմ Հայրապետյանը խմբագրել է իր կենսագրությունը եւ այնտեղից հեռացրել անցանկալի դրվագները, այդ թվում` գիդ աշխատելու վերաբերյալ հիշատակումը։
