Լուկաշենկոն ընդգծել է, որ երկիրը ղեկավարելու հարցը որոշելու է միայն բելառուս ժողովուրդը։

«Ինչպես նա որոշի, այնպես էլ կլինի։ Չէ՞ որ ես հիշում եմ, թե ինչպես ինձ առաջին անգամ ընտրեցին։ Դա բելառուս ժողովրդի որոշումն էր։ Եվ ես այն ժամանակ ստացա ձայների 80,3%-ը։ Այն ժամանակ, երբ կային կեղծիքներ, ծեծում էին, ջարդում։ Ժողովուրդը պատի պես կանգնած էր թիկունքիս։ Տոկոսները մեծ էին։ Ուստի ես, հիշելով դա, կհետևեմ այդ ուղուն։ Ժողովուրդը չի ուզում՝ ստիպելով սիրելի չես դառնա, ինչպես մեզ մոտ են ասում։

Կարծում եմ, որ շատ ավելի շուտ, քան ես կհեռանամ այս աշխարհից, և մենք ձեզ հետ թոշակի անցած ձուկ կորսանք ձեզ մոտ՝ ԱՄՆ-ում, այստեղ կաշխատի նորմալ մարդ։ Մեզ մոտ շատ լավ, խելացի մարդիկ կան, ովքեր հեռանկարում կարող են գլխավորել պետությունը», - հավելել է Լուկաշենկոն։
