Ռուսաստանը չի աջակցում Ֆրանսիայի և Մեծ Բրիտանիայի՝ Հորմուզի նեղուցում ազատ նավագնացության շուրջ գագաթնաժողով կազմակերպելու նախաձեռնությանը, քանի որ այն խաղաղ չէ և ուղղված է Պարսից ծոցում «ռազմական ներկայության մեծացմանը»: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ը տեղեկանում է «Ինտերֆաքս» գործակալությունից, այս մասին հայտարարել է ՌԴ Դաշնային խորհրդի խոսնակ Վալենտինա Մատվիենկոն։

«Դա, կարծես, մասնակցելու ցանկություն է, բայց միևնույն ժամանակ պահպանելով սեփական շահերը։ Մենք չենք աջակցում նման նախաձեռնություններին», – Մատվիենկոն լրագրողներին ասել է Ստամբուլում՝ մեկնաբանելով տեղեկատվությունն այն մասին, որ Ֆրանսիան և Մեծ Բրիտանիան Հորմուզի նեղուցում ազատ նավագնացության շուրջ գագաթնաժողով են հրավիրում։

Ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտարարել էր Ելիսեյան պալատը, Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը և Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Քիր Սթարմերը ապրիլի 17-ին հրավիրել են միջազգային տեսակոնֆերանս՝ Հորմուզի նեղուցում ազատ նավագնացությունը վերականգնելու համար։
