Несколько стран Ближнего Востока и Южной Азии перед встречей глав МИД в Исламабаде 29 марта направили Вашингтону предложения о возобновлении работы Ормузского пролива. Об этом сообщило агентство Reuters со ссылкой на источники.

По их информации, предложения, переданные 29 марта, включали в себя систему платного прохода через пролив по примеру Суэцкого канала.

Также источники Reuters сообщили о том, что Турция, Египет и Саудовская Аравия рассматривают возможность создания консорциума по управлению транспортировкой нефтепродуктов через Ормузский пролив. Этот вопрос обсуждался с американской и иранской делегацией соответственно.
