Առնվազն 18 մարդ է զոհվել Բանգլադեշի կենտրոնական հատվածում ուղևորատար ավտոբուսի՝ Պադմա գետն ընկնելու հետևանքով: Այս մասին հայտնում է The Daily Star-ը:

Զոհվածների թվում կան 3 երեխա և 11 կին, հայտնել է Ռաջբարիի հրշեջ ծառայության փոխտնօրեն Դևան Սոհել Ռանան:

Ոստիկանության և տեղական աղբյուրների համաձայն՝ 11 ուղևորի հաջողվել է լողալով փրկվել։ 

Փրկարարական աշխատանքները շարունակվում էին։

Վերապրած Աբդուլ Ազիզն ասել է, որ ավտոբուսը կանգնած էր, բայց հանկարծակի սկսել է գլորվել և վայրկյանների ընթացքում հայտնվել է գետում: 

«Մեր աչքի առաջ ավտոբուսն ընկավ գետը, բայց մենք ոչինչ չէինք կարող անել»,- ասել է Աբդուլ Ազիզը՝ հավելելով, որ դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել մոտավորապես ժամը 17:15-ին: Թե ինչպես կամ ինչու է ավտոբուսն ընկել գետը, մնում է անհայտ։
