Բարսելոնան վերջապես նշում է պատմական պահը. շինարարության մեկնարկից 144 տարի անց Անտոնիո Գաուդիի կենտրոնական աշտարակի վերջին տարրը տեղադրվել է Սագրադա Ֆամիլիայի վրա, հաղորդում է Hypebeast-ը։

Տպավորիչ՝ 17 մետրանոց պողպատե և ապակե խաչաձև կառուցվածքը բարձրացվել է այնպիսի բարձրության, որը պաշտոնապես ավարտում է Հիսուս Քրիստոսին նվիրված աշտարակը։ Եկեղեցին այժմ ունի 172.5 մետր բարձրություն՝ գերազանցելով Գերմանիայի Ուլմ Մինստերին՝ դառնալով աշխարհի ամենաբարձր եկեղեցին։

Սա նշանավորում է գլխավոր շենքի շինարարության վերջին փուլը, որի ավարտը նախատեսված է 2026 թվականին՝ Գաուդիի մահվան հարյուրամյակին։ Այնուամենայնիվ, «Փառքի ճակատի» մանրամասն մշակված մասի վրա աշխատանքները կշարունակվեն ևս տասը տարի, ինչը թույլ կտա եկեղեցու հետագա կատարելագործմանը։
