ՌԴ արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը հայտարարել է, որ Եվրոպան փորձել է և շարունակում է փորձել սեպ խրել Ռուսաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև՝ Թրամփի քաղաքականությունը համարելով եվրոպական շահերին վնասող։

Նա նշել է, որ եվրոպական էլիտաները օգտագործում են ուկրաինական ռեժիմը՝ Ռուսաստանի դեմ պատերազմելու համար և ուղղակիորեն պատրաստվում են պատերազմի։

Լավրովը նշել է, որ հանցագործություն կլինի թույլ տալ, որ Ռուսաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև շահերի տարբերությունը վերածվի թեժ բախման։

Նա նաև նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանը երբեք չի միջամտում Միացյալ Նահանգների և Եվրոպայի հարաբերություններին. «Բոլորի հետ վարվում են իրենց հեղինակության համաձայն»։
