Սիրիայի ժամանակավոր նախագահ Ահմեդ ալ-Շարաան չորեքշաբթի օրը կայցելի Մոսկվա՝ հանդիպելու Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ, հաղորդել է «Սիրիա» հեռուստաընկերությունը՝ Ռիա Նովոստիի փոխանցմամբ։

«Սիրիայի նախագահ Ահմեդ ալ-Շարաան չորեքշաբթի օրը կայցելի Մոսկվա և կհանդիպի իր ռուս գործընկեր Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ», - նշվում է հաղորդագրության մեջ։

Սիրիայի առաջնորդը վերջին անգամ Մոսկվա էր այցելել հոկտեմբերի կեսերին։ Այդ ժամանակ Պուտինը և ալ-Շարաան քննարկել էին երկկողմ հարաբերությունները։ Հանդիպումը Ռուսաստանի և Սիրիայի միջև առաջին բարձր մակարդակի շփումն էր Արաբական Հանրապետությունում իշխանափոխությունից ի վեր։
