ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հրավիրել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանին դառնալ «Խաղաղության խորհրդի» հիմնադիր անդամ, որը պատասխանատու կլինի Գազայի հատվածի վերակառուցման և անվտանգության համար: Այս մասին հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի նախագահի հաղորդակցության վարչությունը՝ Anadolu-ի փոխանցմամբ:

«ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհուրդը, 2803 բանաձևով, որոշեց աջակցել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի կողմից հայտարարված Գազայում հակամարտության դադարեցման համապարփակ ծրագրին։ Այս ծրագրի շրջանակներում ստեղծվում է «Խաղաղության խորհուրդ» և դրա կառույցներ, որոնք պատասխանատու կլինեն Գազայում անվտանգության և վերակառուցման ապահովման համար», - այս մասին ասված է հայտարարության մեջ։
