Նա նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն կարող է 1%-ով բարձրացնել մաքսատուրքերը կղզում գտնվող յուրաքանչյուր եվրոպացի զինվորի համար։

Ավելի վաղ Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի և Խորհրդի նախագահներ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը և Անտոնիու Կոշտան հայտարարել էին, որ Թրամփի կողմից ութ եվրոպական երկրից ապրանքների վրա հայտարարված նոր մաքսատուրքերը կխաթարեն Ատլանտյան հարաբերությունները և կսպառնան դրանք դեպի անկում տանել։
