Արցախի նախագահի պաշտոնակատար Աշոտ Դանիելյանի որոշմամբ Կարեն Շահենի Շաքարյանը զրկվել է «Արցախի հերոս» բարձրագույն կոչումից։ 
 
«Ղեկավարվելով «Արցախի Հանրապետության պետական պարգևների և պատվավոր կոչումներիմասին» օրենքի 40-րդ հոդվածի 4-րդ մասով և հիմք ընդունելով Արցախի Հանրապետության Նախագահին առընթեր պետական պարգևների և պատվավոր կոչումների շնորհման հարցերի քննարկման խորհրդակցական հանձնաժողովի եզրակացությունը՝ որոշում  եմ.
1. Կարեն Շահենի Շաքարյանին զրկել «Արցախի հերոս» բարձրագույն կոչումից:
 2.  Սույն հրամանագիրն ուժի մեջ է մտնումստորագրման պահից»,- նշված է հրամանագրում:
