Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը կոչ է արել Անկարային F-35 կործանիչներ վերադարձնելու՝ ԱՄՆ հովանու տակ իրագործվելիք ծրագրին։

«Կարևոր և անհրաժեշտ է, որ Թուրքիան ստանա F-35 ինքնաթիռները, որոնց համար արդեն վճարել է, և վերականգնվի նրա մասնակցությունը ծրագրին»,- ըստ թուրքական լրատվամիջոցների՝ ասել է Էրդողանը։

Նա նշել է, որ այս քայլը կամրապնդի թուրք-ամերիկյան կապերը և կբարձրացնի ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ երկրների անվտանգությունը։

Էրդողանը նշել է, որ անձամբ իր դիրքորոշումը բացատրել է իր ամերիկացի գործընկեր Թրամփին 2025 թվականի սեպտեմբերին Սպիտակ տանն անցկացված հանդիպման ժամանակ՝ ռուսական զենքի համակարգերի գնման պատճառով Թուրքիային F-35 ծրագրից բացառելու որոշումն «անարդար» որակելելով։
