Արցախյան 44-օրյա պատերազմում զոհված Մխիթար Գալեյանի հայրը՝ Գարիկն արդեն ազատության մեջ է։ Այս մասին հայտնում է փաստաբան Վահան Հովհաննիսյանը։

Փաստաբանը հիշեցրեց, որ հայտնի դատավոր Մասիսի Մելքոնյանի որոշմամբ Գ. Գալեյանը դատապարտվել էր 2.5 տարվա ազատազրկման, վերաքննիչ բողոքը բավարարվել էր մասնակի, պատիժ էր նշանակվել ազատազրկման ձևով 1.5 տարի ժամկետով։

Պաշտպանը բողոք է ներկայացրել վճռաբեկ դատարան, գործը դեռ չի քննվել։ Բայց քանի որ այս ընթացքում Գարիկ Գալեյանը գտնվում էր կալանքի տակ՝ սկզբում բանտային, հետո՝ տնային, իսկ խափանման միջոցի մեկ օրը համարվումէ ազատազրկման մեկ օր։ Այդ պատճառով Գարիկ Գալեյանն ազատ արձակվեց, նշել է փաստաբանը։
