Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին հայտնել է, որ «շատ կառուցողական» հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել ԱՄՆ-ի բանակցողների թիմի հետ, որը գլխավորում են հատուկ բանագնաց Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆը և ԱՄՆ նախագահի փեսա Ջարեդ Քուշները:

Ֆլորիդայում ուկրաինական և ամերիկյան կողմերի միջև նախորդ օրերին կայացած բանակցություններից հետո Զելենսկին Տելեգրամում գրել է, որ «Ուկրաինան հավատարիմ է շարունակելու ազնիվ աշխատանքը ամերիկյան կողմի հետ՝ իրական խաղաղության հասնելու համար»: Նա հավելել է, որ կողմերը համաձայնեցրել են հետագա քայլերը և բանակցությունների ձևաչափը՝ առանց մանրամասներ բացահայտելու:
