Ավստրալիան և Նոր Զելանդիան միացել են ՆԱՏՕ-ի «Ուկրաինայի համար ռեսուրսների գնում» (PURL) ծրագրին։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Մարկ Ռուտտեն Բրյուսելում ՆԱՏՕ-ի արտաքին գործերի նախարարների հանդիպումից հետո տեղի ունեցած մամուլի ասուլիսում։

«Ավստրալիան և Նոր Զելանդիան ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ չհանդիսացող առաջին երկրներն են, որոնք միացել են «PURL» ծրագրին», - ասաց Ռուտտեն։

Նա ընդգծել է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի երկրների երկու երրորդը հայտարարել է «PURL» ծրագրին իրենց մասնակցության մասին, որը օգոստոսից մինչև այս տարվա վերջն Ուկրաինային կապահովի ավելի քան 4 միլիարդ դոլարի ամերիկյան զենքի գնումներ։

«PURL» ծրագիրը փոխարինել է Կիևին ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից անվճար կամ վարկային պայմանագրերով զենքի մատակարարումներին: Այս ծրագիրը նախատեսում է ՆԱՏՕ-ի եվրոպական երկրների և Կանադայի կողմից Ուկրաինայի կարիքների համար ամերիկյան զենքի կառուցվածքային գնումներ ՆԱՏՕ-ի կառույցների միջոցով: Այս ծրագիրը համաձայնեցվել է հուլիսին, և առաջին գնումները սկսվել են այս տարվա օգոստոսին:
