Հոնկոնգում հրդեհի զոհերի թիվը հասել է 44-ի, կա 279 անհետ կորած, 29 վիրավոր, իսկ 7-ը գտնվում են ծանր վիճակում:

Հետաքննության ընթացքում երկու շինարարական ընկերության տնօրեններ և մեկ խորհրդատու ինժեներ ձերբակալվել են չկանխամտածված սպանության կասկածանքով: Տեղում հայտնաբերվել են մի շարք տեխնիկական խախտումներ, որոնք արագացրել են հրդեհի տարածումը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ Հոնկոնգում հրդեհ է բռնկվել, որը կլանել է «Վան Ֆուկ Քորթ» բնակելի համալիրի չորս շենք, ինչի հետևանքով զոհվել է 4 մարդ, այդ թվում՝ մեկ հրշեջ, վիրավորվել է առնվազն 5 մարդ, իսկ շատերը մնացել են թակարդված:
