Վաշինգտոնում` Սպիտակ տան մոտ, կրակոցներ են տեղի ունեցել, որի հետևանքով վիրավորվել են Ազգային գվարդիայի երկու զինծառայող, հաղորդել է NBC News-ը։

Վաշինգտոնի քաղաքապետ Մյուրիել Բոուզերը հայտարարել է, որ Ազգային գվարդիայի վրա հարձակումը, հավանաբար, նպատակային է եղել՝ նշելով, որ կրակողը նույնպես վիրավոր է և այժմ գտնվում է հիվանդանոցում և կալանավորված է։ Նրա դրդապատճառները դեռևս չեն բացահայտվել։

Արձագանքելով միջադեպին՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ Ազգային գվարդիայի զինծառայողները մոտ հեռավորությունից արձակած կրակոցներից վիրավորվել են՝ Սպիտակ տնից ընդամենը մի քանի քայլ հեռավորության վրա:

ԱՄՆ իրավապահ մարմինների աշխատակիցները կրակոցների կասկածյալին նույնականացրել են 29-ամյա ծագումով աֆղան Ռահմանուլլա Լականվալին։ Նա ապրում էր Վաշինգտոն նահանգի Բելինգհեմ քաղաքում՝ կնոջ և հինգ երեխաների հետ։

Կասկածյալի ազգականը հայտնել է, որ նա Միացյալ Նահանգներ է ժամանել 2021 թվականի սեպտեմբերին՝ աֆղանական բանակում ամերիկյան հատուկ նշանակության ջոկատներում 10 տարի ծառայելուց հետո։
