Սիրայում սկիզբ առած կրոնական և ազգամիջյան ատելությունը և համայնքային բախումները նոր ալիք են ստանում՝ կրկին սունիների և ալաուիների միջև։ Մերձկառավարական խմբավորումները չեն դադարում հարձակումներ իրականացնել քրիստոնեական, ալլաուիների համայնքների շրջաններում։

Համացանցում տարածված տեսանյութերից մեկում երևում է Հոմս քաղաքի հայկական թաղամասերից մեկը, որտեղ հրկիզվել է ավելի քան 19 բնակարան, 30 մեքենա և պատճառվել այլ նյութական վնասներ։ Չնայած բռնաճնշումներին և մահվան ապառնալիքներին՝ Հոմսում, հիմնականում, Ալ-Զահրա շրջանում շարունակվում են բողոքի ակցիաները։

Գրեթե նույն իրավիճակն է նաև հարևան Լիբանանում։ Մայրաքաղաք Բեյրութը շարունակում է իսրայեյական օդուժի հարձակմանը ենթարկվել։ Բեյրութի հարավային արվարձաններում Իսրայելը շարունակում է հրթիռակոծել։
Իսրայելական լրատվամիջոցները նաև հայտնում են, որ հիմնական թիրախը Հեզբոլլահ բարձրաստիճան զինվորական ղեկավարներն են, մասնավորապես, Ալի Թափթային։
