2020 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 27-ին Ադրբեջանի զինված ուժերը լայնածավալ հարձակողական գործողություններ սկսեցին Արցախի Հանրապետության և Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ուղղությամբ։

Մարտական գործողությունները, որոնք տևեցին 44 օր, ընդգրկեցին Արցախի մի շարք քաղաքներ և բնակավայրեր՝ ուղեկցվելով ծանր հրետակոծություններով և անօդաչու սարքերի կիրառմամբ։ Պատերազմի ընթացքում զոհեր եղան ինչպես զինվորականների, այնպես էլ խաղաղ բնակիչների շրջանում։ Հոկտեմբերի և նոյեմբերի ամիսներին տեղի ունեցան առավել ինտենսիվ բախումներ Շուշիի, Հադրութի և հարակից գյուղերի ուղղություններով։

2020 թվականի նոյեմբերի 9-ին Հայաստանի, Ադրբեջանի և Ռուսաստանի ղեկավարների միջև ստորագրվեց եռակողմ հայտարարություն, որով հաստատվեց հրադադարն ու զորքերի տեղակայման նոր գծերը։

Այսօր վաղ առավոտից սկսվել է մարդկանց հոսքը դեպի «Եռաբլուր» զիվորական պանթեոն։
