«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «ՀՀ ներքին գործերի համակարգում նախարար Արփինե Սարգսյանի դեմ ձեւավորված ոչ բարյացակամ մթնոլորտի պատճառներից մեկն էլ, պարզվում է, նախարարի ամուսինն է՝  Դատական դեպարտամենտի ղեկավարի տեղակալ Արշակ Վարդապետյանը։

ՆԳՆ հնաբնակները կատակում են, թե իրականում Արշակը ՆԳՆ կադրերի բաժնի պետն է, նա է որոշում, թե «կլյուչեվոյ» պաշտոններում ում նշանակի, ում ազատի։ Մինչեւ անգամ խոսում են, որ եթե որոշ բարձրաստիճան ոստիկաններ ցանկանում են այլ պաշտոնի տեղափոխվել, «մարդ» են գտնում ոչ թե նախարարի, այլ ամուսնու մոտ բարեխոսելու համար»։
