Վրաստանի նախագահ Միխեիլ Կավելաշվիլին աջակցել է իշխանական «Վրացական երազանք» կուսակցության՝ մի քանի ընդդիմադիր քաղաքական ուժերի արգելքի նախաձեռնությանը։

«Երբ նրանք դիտավորյալ վնասում են քաղաքական միջավայրը արտաքին ֆինանսավորմամբ, ստեղծվում են պայմաններ, որպեսզի նման կուսակցությունները դադարեն գոյություն ունենալ», - ասել է Կավելաշվիլին։

Ավելի վաղ երկրի խորհրդարանը հայց էր ներկայացրել Սահմանադրական դատարան՝ «Միացյալ ազգային շարժում» (հիմնադիրը նախկին նախագահ Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլին է), «Փոփոխությունների համար կոալիցիա» և «Հզոր Վրաստան» կուսակցությունները արգելելու համար։
