Empowering the Next Generation of Armenian Talents: “Music for Future” Foundation’s First Concert in the U.S.

ՄՇԱԿՈՒՅԹ

On October 18, the “Music for Future” Foundation will make its debut in the United States at the Scottish Rite Museum and Library in Boston, where the Foundation’s scholarship recipients will perform in a special concert. The event is organized in collaboration with the Friends of Armenian Culture Society (FACS) and promises to be a major cultural occasion, showcasing Armenia’s vibrant young musicians and bringing together the Armenian diaspora to support the success and future of talented Armenian children.

The stage will feature exceptionally gifted young musicians from the Foundation, who have already made their mark on international stages, becoming ambassadors of Armenia’s new musical generation. The program will include works by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Babajanyan, Khachaturian, and Saint-Saëns. For the first time in Boston, audiences will also hear compositions by two Armenian composers: Yuri Gevorgyan’s Serenade for Saxophone and Arno Melkonyan’s “In Memory of Artsakh” for piano, performed by the composer himself. These works will have their Boston debut at this concert.

The concert evening will feature a welcome address by Ara Gregorian, violinist/violist and chair of String and Piano Chamber Music at New England Conservatory.

This benefit concert will be both a musical celebration and a meaningful contribution to the future of Armenian youth. All proceeds from the event will directly support the Foundation’s educational programs, ensuring that talented Armenian children continue to receive high-quality education, professional guidance, and opportunities to represent Armenia on the world stage.

Ticket prices: $50–$75 for adults and $25 for students. After the concert, guests are invited to a reception to meet the young musicians and learn more about the mission and work of the “Music for Future” Foundation.
