Իտալական «Միլանի» լեգենդար նախկին պաշտպան և ավագ Պաոլո Մալդինին նշել է իր տեսած լավագույն երեք խաղացողներին։

«Ես պատիվ եմ ունեցել խաղալու շատ մեծ խաղացողների դեմ։ Կարծում եմ՝ նրանցից լավագույններն էին Դիեգո Մարադոնան, երբ նա խաղում էր «Նապոլիում», Ռոնալդո Նազարիոն՝ «Ինտերում» խաղալու տարիներին, և, չնայած ես չկարողացա խաղալ Լիոնել Մեսսիի դեմ, քանի որ նա վնասվածք ուներ, շնորհակալ եմ Աստծուն դրա համար։ Ես բախտավոր էի։

Պլատինիի դեմ նույնպես խաղացել եմ՝ շատ, շատ վաղուց։ Բայց այդ երեքը լավագույն մրցակիցներն էին»,- հարցազրույցներից մեկի ժամանակ նշել է Մալդինին։

Հիշեցնենք, որ լեգենդար իտալացին կարիերան ավարտել է 2009 թվականին՝ 41 տարեկան հասակում, «Միլանում» անցկացրած 25 մրցաշրջաններից հետո։
