«2025 FA22» աստերոիդը կանցնի Երկրի կողքով սեպտեմբերի 18-ին, Երևանի ժամանակով մոտ 11:00-ին, իսկ հեռավորությունը մի փոքր ավելի մեծ կլինի, քան լուսնային ուղեծրի տրամագիծը։

Այս մասին հայտնել են Տիեզերական հետազոտությունների ինստիտուտի Արեգակնային աստղագիտության լաբորատորիան և Ռուսաստանի գիտությունների ակադեմիայի (ՌԳԱ) Սիբիրյան մասնաճյուղի Արեգակնային-երկրային ֆիզիկայի ինստիտուտը։

2025 թվականի համար սա, հավանաբար, ամենամեծ քարն է (առնվազն ամենամեծերից մեկը), որը կանցնի մոլորակի կողքով մեկ միլիոն կիլոմետրից պակաս հեռավորության վրա։

Մոլորակին մոտեցող աստերոիդի տրամագիծը 166 մետր է, իսկ երկարությունը՝ 290 մետր։ «2025 FA22»-ը մոտավորապես հազար անգամ ավելի մեծ է, քան Չելյաբինսկի երկնաքարը։ Երկրի և «2025 FA22»-ի բախման հավանականությունը գնահատվում է մոտ 0.01 տոկոս։
