ԱՄՆ-ն ու Չինաստանը նախնական համաձայնության են եկել TikTok-ը բաժանելու չինական ByteDance-ից։ Այն կանցնի ԱՄՆ վերահսկողության տակ, իսկ վերջնական հաստատումը սպասվում է ուրբաթ՝ Թրամփի և Սի Ծինպինի հանդիպմանը։

TikTok-ը մի քանի ամիս կանգնած էր արգելման վտանգի առաջ, սակայն բանակցությունների արդյունքում որոշվել է վաճառել ԱՄՆ-ում դրա գործունեությունը։ Հուլիսին հայտնի դարձավ, որ Oracle-ն ու մի քանի ներդրողներ պատրաստվում են մասնակցել գործարքին։ Նշվում է նաև, որ TikTok-ը պատրաստում է հավելվածի նոր տարբերակ՝ միայն ամերիկյան օգտատերերի տվյալներով։

Թրամփը իր Truth Social-ում գրել է, որ բանակցությունները «շատ լավ» են անցել, և «սիրված հավելվածը» պահպանվելու է։
