Ռուսաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահներ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը և Իլհամ Ալիևը Պեկինում ողջունել են միմյանց, բայց առարկայական շփում չի եղել,  այդ մասին հայտնել է Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը։

«Ալիևի հետ նրանք միմյանց ողջունել են, ձեռք են սեղմել, բայց, ըստ էության, որևէ առարկայական շփում այս անգամ չի եղել», – լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է Պեսկովը՝ պատասխանելով «Ինտերֆաքս»-ի հարցին։

Ավելի վաղ լրատվամիջոցները կադրեր էին տարածել, որոնցում Պուտինը և Ալիևը Պեկինում Երկրորդ աշխարհամարտում հաղթանակի 80-ամյակին նվիրված հանդիսավոր զորահանդեսից առաջ միմյանց ձեռք են սեղմում։

Մինչ այդ Թիենծինում՝ Շանհայի համագործակցության կազմակերպության գագաթնաժողովի ընթացքում, երկու ղեկավարները չեն շփվել։ Ընդ որում, երկուսն էլ մի շարք երկկողմ հանդիպումներ են անցկացրել։
