Российский теннисист Карен Хачанов уверенно стартовал на Открытом чемпионате США, одержав победу над представителем США в первом круге турнира.

Матч завершился со счетом 6:7, 6:3, 7:5, 6:1 в пользу Хачанова, который продемонстрировал стабильную игру и сумел переломить ход встречи после проигранного первого сета.

Во втором круге соперником Хачанова станет польский теннисист Камиль Майхшак, занимающий 76-е место в мировом рейтинге.
