Այս շաբաթ աշխարհի ամենատարեց մարդը՝ անգլիացի Էթել Քաթերհեմը, նշել է իր ծննդյան 116-ամյակը, հաղորդում է Bild-ը։

Նա ծնվել է Շիպտոն Բալինգեր գյուղում 1909 թվականի օգոստոսի 21-ին։ Երիտասարդ տարիքում նա մեկնել է Հնդկաստան՝ որպես դաստիարակչուհի աշխատելու համար, իսկ 1933 թվականին ամուսնացել է Նորման Քեթերհեմի հետ, ով դարձել է Բրիտանական ռազմաօդային ուժերի փոխգնդապետ։ Զույգն ապրել է Հոնկոնգում և Ջիբրալթարում և ունեցել երկու դուստր։ 1976 թվականին մահացել է նրա ամուսինը, իսկ Էթելն այժմ աշխարհի ամենատարեց մարդն է։

Մինչև 100 տարեկան ապրողների թիվը անընդհատ աճում է: Պատմության մեջ ամենատարեց մարդը համարվում է ֆրանսուհի Ժաննա Լուիզ Կալմանը: Նա մահացել է 1997 թվականին՝ 122 տարեկան և 164 օրական հասակում:
