Անցած օրվա ընթացքում Գազայի հատվածում Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակի գործողությունների հետևանքով զոհվել է առնվազն 65 պաղեստինցի։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Al Jazeera հեռուստաալիքը՝ վկայակոչելով բժշկական աղբյուրներ։

Հաղորդվում է, որ հուլիսի 21-ին զոհվածների թվում եղել է 11 քաղաքացի, որոնք մահացել են մարդասիրական օգնության բաշխման կետերի դեմ իրականացված հարվածների արդյունքում։

Գազայի առողջապահության նախարարության տվյալներով՝ այս տարվա մարտից ի վեր՝ երբ մարդասիրական օգնությունը սկսեց բաշխվել Իսրայելի և ԱՄՆ-ի վերահսկողությամբ հիմնադրամի համակարգով, ավելի քան 900 մարդ զոհվել է օգնություն ստանալու փորձերի ժամանակ։

Հիշեցնենք, որ մայիսի 18-ին Իսրայելի բանակը հայտարարել էր Գազայի հյուսիսային և հարավային հատվածներում գործողությունների նոր փուլի մեկնարկի մասին՝ «Գիդեոնի մարտակառքերը» լայնածավալ ցամաքային օպերացիայի շրջանակում։ Նպատակն է պաղեստինյան ՀԱՄԱՍ շարժման վերջնական ոչնչացումը և Գազայում պահվող իսրայելցի պատանդների ազատումը։ Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենյամին Նեթանյահուն հայտարարել էր Գազայի հատվածի ամբողջական վերահսկողություն հաստատելու մտադրության մասին։
