Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վոլոդիմիր Զելենսկին հայտարարել է, որ պետք է պաշտոնավարի մինչև ռուս-ուկրաինական հակամարտության ավարտը։ Նա այս մասին ասել է բրիտանական Sky News հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում։

Զելենսկիի նախագահական ժամկետը լրացել է 2024 թվականի մայիսին՝ պաշտոնավարման հինգ տարվա ընթացքում։

«Ես գուցե լավագույն մարդը չեմ Ուկրաինան պատերազմի ավարտին հասցնելու համար, բայց ես ամենափորձառուն եմ», - լրագրող Մարկ Օսթինի հետ զրույցում ասել է Զելենսկին։

Նախորդ օրը Ուկրաինայի նախագահի գրասենյակի ղեկավար Անդրեյ Երմակը հայտարարել էր, որ Զելենսկին պետք է երկրորդ ժամկետով առաջադրվի, «քանի որ նա լավագույն նախագահն է», որին հանրապետությունը տեսել է անկախությունից ի վեր։
