ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ պողպատի ներմուծման մաքսատուրքերը կբարձրանան մինչև 50%: Նա այս մասին գրել է Truth Social սոցիալական ցանցում։

«Մենք ԱՄՆ պողպատի ներմուծման մաքսատուրքերը կբարձրացնենք 25%-ից մինչև 50%: Սա ավելի կպաշտպանի ԱՄՆ պողպատի արդյունաբերությունը», - գրել է նա։

Ապրիլի 2-ին Թրամփը ներմուծեց ներմուծման մաքսատուրքերի նոր համակարգ 185 երկրների համար: Բազային դրույքաչափը 10% էր բոլոր ներմուծվող ապրանքների համար, իսկ որոշ երկրների համար այն զգալիորեն ավելի բարձր էր՝ 34% Չինաստանի համար, 46% Վիետնամի համար և 20% Եվրամիության համար: Ի պատասխան՝ Չինաստանը նույնպես 34% մաքսատուրք սահմանեց ամերիկյան ապրանքների համար: Աշխարհի երկրների առաջնորդները դատապարտեցին Թրամփի որոշումը՝ սպառնալով պատասխան միջոցներով:
