Վերջին տարիներին Ադրբեջանը սկսել է ՀՀ ինքնիշխան տարախքի մոտավորապես 60 տոկոսը համարել «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան»: Մենք բազմիցս ասել ենք, որ չի կարող լինել Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան ՀՀ ինքնիշխան տարածքում: Այս մասին  «Երևանյան երկխոսություն» երկրորդ միջազգային ֆորումի ժամանակ հայտարարել է  վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

«Եթե Սահմանադրական դատարանը որոշի, որ խաղաղության պայմանագիրը չի համապատասխանում մեր Սահմանադրությանը, այդ դեպքում ես կնախաձեռնեմ սահմանադրական փոփոխություններ»,-նշել է նա:
