Հայաստանի խորհրդարանի նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանն առաջարկել է օրինականացնել ծխելի թմրանյութերը։ Նա կարծում է, որ դա կօգնի պայքարել երկրում ապօրինի նյութերի աճող տարածման դեմ, գրում է pravda.ru–ն։ Սիմոնյանը նշել է, որ շատ երկրներ արդեն իսկ անցնում են դրանց օրինականացման ճանապարհով, որպեսի թմրանյութերի տարածման իրավիճակը վերահսկողության տակ վերցնեն։ Սակայն նա ինքը չի պլանավորում նախաձեռնել օրինագիծը։ Սիմոնյանը վստահ է, որ անհնար է համոզել հայ հասարակությանը «օրինականացման» անհրաժեշտության մեջ։

Իսկ Հայաստանում թմրանյութերի ապօրինի շրջանառության կտրուկ աճ է գրանցվել։ Միայն անցյալ տարի հայտնաբերված դեպքերի թիվն աճել է 2.5 անգամ։ Երկրի առողջապահության նախարար Անահիտ Ավանեսյանը հայտնել է, որ թմրամոլության բուժման դիմումների թիվը շատ արագ աճում է։
