Ապրիլի 24-ին խոնարհված ծաղիկները խնամքով հավաքվում են: Ծիծեռնակաբերդում հավաքված կամավորները առանձնացնում են ցողունը ծաղկաթերթերից, որ ծաղիկները ստանան նոր կյանք:

Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմի տեղեկատվական բաժնից հայտնում են, որ ավանդական դարձած ծաղկահավաքը մեկնարկել է Տերունական աղոթքով: Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմի առաջնորդական փոխանորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Նավասարդ արքեպիսկոպոս Կճոյանի օրհնությամբ ԱՀԹ Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու հոգևոր հովիվ Տեր Պետրոս ավագ քահանա Մալյանը Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիրում օրհնության կարգ է կատարել, իր օրհնության խոսքն ուղղել ներկաներին: Ելույթ է ունեցել ԱՀԹ Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու երգչախումբը, խմբավար` Գրիգոր Հարությունյան։ Այնուհետև սկսվել է ծաղկահավաքը։

Մինչև 2010 թվականը, ապրիլի 24-ին խոնարհված ծաղիկները հայտնվում էին աղբանոցում, իսկ ծրագրի կազմակերպիչների ջանքերով՝ ծաղիկների ցողունից ստացվում է պարարտախառնուրդ այգիների մշակման համար, իսկ ծաղկաթերթերն օգտագործվում են ձեռակերտ վերամշակված թուղթ և մոմ պատրաստելու համար: Ձեռակերտ թղթերը դառնում են ցեղասպանության մասին պատմող դեսպաններ:
