Տաջիկստանի Ռեշտի շրջանում երկրաշարժի հետևանքով մասամբ փլուզվել է 17 բնակելի շենք։ Ինչպես ՏԱՍՍ-ին հայտնել են Տաջիկստանի կառավարությանն առընթեր Արտակարգ իրավիճակների և քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության կոմիտեի ճգնաժամային կառավարման կենտրոնից, Ռեշտի շրջանում ստորգետնյա ցնցումների ուժգնությունը գնահատվում է 5 բալ, մայրաքաղաքում՝ 3 բալ։

Դեպքի վայր է մեկնել Արտակարգ իրավիճակների կոմիտեի նախագահի առաջին տեղակալ Խոտամշո Լատիֆզոդան։ Տեղում աշխատում է արտակարգ իրավիճակների հետևանքների վերացման հանձնաժողով։ 

Եվրոպական-միջերկրածովյան սեյսմոլոգիական կենտրոնի (EMSC) տվյալներով՝ երկրաշարժի ուժգնությունը կազմել է 5,9 մագնիտուդ։ Առաջին ցնցումները գրանցվել են տեղական ժամանակով 4:24-ին (Երևանի ժամանակով 8:24-ին): Սկզբում EMSC-ը երկրաշարժի ուժգնությունը որոշել էր 6,4 բալ, բայց ավելի ուշ ցուցանիշն իջեցվել է։
