«Հրապարակին» քիչ առաջ հայտնի դարձավ, որ երեկ գիշեր Գեղարքունիքի մարզում ականի պայթյունից վնասվածք է ստացել զինվորականներից մեկը: Մեր աղբյուրը պատմեց, որ Վարդենիսի սահմանային հատվածում կա ականապատված դաշտ, որի քարտեզը հայկական կողմը չունի՝ նախօրեին մեր զինծառայողները հրահանգ են ստացել ականազերծել այդ տարածքը։ Հենց ականազերծման ժամանակ էլ զինվորականը պատահաբար կանգնել է ականի վրա և տեղի ունեցած պայթյունի հետևանքով կորցրել ոտքը: Վիրավոր զինվորականին տեղափոխել են Երևան:

Ծառայակիցները նշում են, որ վիրավորը նվիրյալ զինվորական է՝ պատերազմների մասնակից: 

«Հրապարակը» դիմեց պաշտպանության նախարարություն։ Մեզ հետ զրույցում ՀՀ ՊՆ մամուլի քարտուղար Արամ Թորոսյանն ասաց․«Ականապայթյունային վնասվածք ստացած ՊՆ N զորամասի զինծառայողի կյանքին վտանգ չի սպառնում, գտնվում է հոսպիտալի բուժանձնակազմի հսկողության տակ»։
