«Հյուսիս» զորքերի խմբի հրամանատարությունը Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին զեկուցել է Կուրսկի մարզի տարածքը Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի ներկայացուցիչներից ազատելու գործողության եզրափակիչ փուլ մտնելու մասին։ Այս մասին ՏԱՍՍ-ին հայտնել է ՌԴ ղեկավարի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը։

Պուտինը նախօրեին՝ մարտի 12-ի երեկոյան այցելել է Կուրսկի մարզի հրամանատարական կետերից մեկը։ Նա խնդիր է դրել մարզում հնարավորինս շուտ ամբողջությամբ ջախջախել Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերին և ապահովել անվտանգության գոտի։

Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի զանգվածային հարձակումը Կուրսկի մարզի վրա սկսվել է 2024 թվականի օգոստոսի 6-ին։ Մարզում սահմանվել է դաշնային արտակարգ ռեժիմ: ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարության տվյալներով՝ Կիևը Կուրսկի ուղղությամբ ռազմական գործողությունների սկզբից կորցրել է ավելի քան 66,810 զինծառայող։
