Ուկրաինան դժվար թե վերադարձնի 2014 թվականից ի վեր Ռուսաստանի գրաված ամբողջ տարածքը. նման կարծիք է հայտնել ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոն՝ ընդգծելով, որ Ռուսաստանը և Ուկրաինան երկուսն էլ ստիպված կլինեն «դժվար բաներ» անել հակամարտությունը դադարեցնելու համար:

 

«Պետք է ուժեղ զգացողություն լինի, որ Ուկրաինան պատրաստ է դժվար բաներ անել, ինչպես ռուսները պետք է դժվար բաներ անեն այս հակամարտությունը դադարեցնելու համար», – ըստ New York Times-ի ասել է նա լրագրողներին:

 

Պետքարտուղարի խոսքով՝ երկու երկրներն էլ պետք է հասկանան, որ հակամարտությունը ռազմական լուծում չունի:

 

«Ռուսները չեն կարող գրավել ամբողջ Ուկրաինան, և ակնհայտ է, որ Ուկրաինայի համար շատ դժվար կլինի որևէ ողջամիտ ժամանակահատվածում ստիպել ռուսներին վերադառնալ այնտեղ, որտեղ նրանք եղել են 2014 թվականին»,- հավելել է նա։
