Ընթացիկ տարի լինելու է «պատերազմի տարի»՝ ուշադրություն կենտրոնում պահելով Գազայի հատվածը և Իրանը, ինչպես նաև պահպանելով և խորացնելով այլ ճակատներում գրանցած նվաճումը. այս մասին Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակի Գլխավոր շտաբի նիստում հայտարարել է նոր ԳՇ պետ, գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Էյալ Զամիրը, գրում է The Times of Israel-ը։

Նա երկրի բարձրաստիճան գեներալներին ասել է, որ Գազայի հատվածում ՀԱՄԱՍ խմբավորման մոտ պահվող պատանդներին վերադարձնելը «բարոյական պարտականություն է», և Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակը կգործի նրանց բոլորին տուն վերադարձնելու համար: Զամիրը որոշել է պատանդների լուսանկարները տեղադրել իր աշխատասենյակում՝ մինչև նրանց վերադարձնելը։

The Jerusalem Post-ը հավելել է, որ աշխատանքում ընդգծելու է «հաղթանակ» հասկացությունը՝ որպես կարևոր արժեք, քանի որ վերջին տարիներին Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակը կենտրոնացած էր հարաբերական հաղթանակի կամ զսպման վրա։
