Հայաստանի բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիան հայտնում է․ «80 տարեկանում կյանքից հեռացել է հայկական բռնցքամարտի նվիրյալներից մեկը` վաստակավոր մարզիչ Դերենիկ Ոսկանյանը։ Նա եղել է Հայաստանի լավագույն բռնցքամարտիկներից մեկը։ Դարձել է Հայաստանի բազմակի չեմպիոն, ԽՍՀՄ մրցանակակիր։ Դերենիկ Ոսկանյանը գլխավորել է Հայաստանի տարբեր տարիքային հավաքականները, երկար տարիներ եղել է Դինամո մարզական ընկերության գլխավոր մարզիչն ու պատրաստել է բազմաթիվ տիտղոսակիր բռնցքամարտիկներ, ովքեր մեծ պատիվ են բերել Հայաստանին ու հայկական սպորտին։
Կիսում ենք կորստի ցավը` փաստելով, որը նրա մահը կորուստ է ոչ միայն նրա հարազատների ու սաների, այլև ամբողջ հայկական բռնցքամարտի աշխարհի համար»։
