Կիևի` Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքին միանալու գաղափարն անիրագործելի է: Այս մասին հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը՝ ելույթ ունենալով Սպիտակ տանը՝ Թուլսի Գիբարդի՝ որպես ԱՄՆ Ազգային հետախուզության նոր տնօրենի երդման արարողության ժամանակ։

Այսպես է ԱՄՆ նախագահը մեկնաբանել Պենտագոնի ղեկավար Փիթ Հեգսեթի հայտարարությունը, թե Ուկրաինայի անդամակցությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ին քիչ հավանական է։

«Դա ճիշտ է։ Կարծում եմ, որ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինից շատ առաջ Ռուսաստանն ասել է, որ ոչ մի դեպքում թույլ չի տա, որ դա տեղի ունենա»,- ասել է Թրամփը։

Նա նաև նշել է, որ «ոչ շատ հեռավոր ապագայում» հնարավոր կլինի Ուկրաինայում հրադադարի հասնել։ Բացի այդ, նախագահը հայտարարել է, որ Ուկրաինայի վերադարձը այն սահմաններին, որոնք ուներ 2014 թվականին, գործնականում անհնար է։
