Հունվարի 22-ին կայացել են Չեմպիոնների լիգայի ընդհանուր փուլի 7-րդ տուրի հանդիպումները, որոնց արդյունքներով որոշվել են եվրոպական գլխավոր մրցաշարից ժամանակից շուտ դուրս մնացած թիմերը։

Այսպիսով, իսպանական «Ժիրոնան», սերբական «Ցրվենա Զվեզդան», ինչպես նաև ավստրիական «Ռեդ Բուլ Զալցբուրգը» և «Շտուրմը» յոթ խաղից հետո վաստակել են ընդամենը երեք միավոր և կորցրել են Չեմպիոնների լիգայի փլեյ-օֆֆ դուրս գալու մաթեմատիկական հնարավորությունները։ Բացի այդ, մրցաշարի հաջորդ փուլի ուղեգրի համար չեն կարողանա պայքարել նաև չեխական «Սպարտան» (4) և իտալական «Բոլոնիան» (5):

Հիշեցնենք, որ դեռ դեկտեմբերին «Յանգ Բոյզը», «Սլովանը» և «ՌԲ Լայպցիգը» կորցրել էին պայքարը շարունակելու իրենց հնարավորությունները՝ պարտվելով մրցաշարի մեկնարկային բոլոր վեց հանդիպումներում։
