Մահացել է ամերիկաբնակ ազգային բարերար Սարգիս Բեդևյանը, գրել են ԶԼՄ-ները։

Նա օժանդակել է Սևանի Վազգենյան դպրանոցի կայացմանը: Հովանավորել է Գյումրիում հանրակրթական դպրոցի կառուցումը:

Նրա բարերարությամբ Վանաձորում կառուցվել է Սուրբ Գրիգոր Նարեկացի Մայր եկեղեցին, որի օծումից 3 տարի անց շահագործման է հանձնվել Հայորդյաց տունը: Հին վեհարանի հարավ-արևմտյան հատվածում գտնվող Խրիմյան թանգարան-պատկերասրահը, որ կառուցել է Մկրտիչ Խրիմյան կաթողիկոսը՝ 1896 թվականին, հիմնանորոգվել է Սարգիս և Հռութ Բեդևյանների բարերարությամբ: Բեդևյան ընտանիքն իր նպաստն է բերել Էջմիածնի Մայր Տաճարի նորոգմանը։
