Госсекретарь США Энтони Блинкен и глава МИД Японии Такэси Ивая обсудили экономические отношения двух стран, включая ситуацию вокруг японской Nippon Steel и американской U.S. Steel. Об этом объявил МИД Японии.

«Два министра провели обмен мнениями по вопросам экономики, включая ситуацию со сделкой по приобретению U.S. Steel [японской компанией] Nippon Steel», - говорится в заявлении, опубликованном по итогам рабочего обеда Иваи и Блинкена, который находится с официальным визитом в Японии. Подчеркивается, что главы внешнеполитических ведомств двух стран подтвердили важность развития экономических отношений Токио и Вашингтона, включая инвестиции японских компаний в экономику США.
