Американские военнослужащие не должны находиться на территории Сирии. Об этом заявил в воскресенье будущий помощник избранного президента США Дональда Трампа по национальной безопасности Майк Уолтц.

«[Избранный] президент Трамп абсолютно прав. Его мандат, который получил подавляющее большинство [голосов избирателей], звучал так: "Не втягивайте нас в ближневосточные войны». Мы не хотим, чтобы американские военные бегали по территории Сирии в любом качестве, форме или виде», - сказал он в интервью журналисту Бену Шапиро.

На востоке и северо-востоке Сирии ВС США дислоцированы на базах рядом с нефтяными месторождениями.
