Ռուսաստանը Եվրամիության համար ավելի մեծ վտանգ է ներկայացնում անվտանգային առումով, քան պարզապես պաշտպանությունը, քանի որ Մոսկվան կարող է օգտագործել անօրինական ներգաղթը և այլ խնդիրներ՝ խարխլելու դաշինքը, կիրակի օրը հայտարարել է Իտալիայի վարչապետ Ջորջիա Մելոնին:

Ֆինլանդիան հանգստյան օրերին հյուրընկալել է Իտալիայի, Շվեդիայի և Հունաստանի ղեկավարներին, ինչպես նաև ԵՄ արտաքին գործերի նախարարին հյուսիսային Լապլանդիայում՝ քննարկելու Հյուսիսային տարածաշրջանում և Միջերկրական ծովի անվտանգությունը, ինչպես նաև Հարավային Եվրոպայում միգրացիոն խնդիրները:
