Հայաստանը դադարեցրել է ՀԱՊԿ-ում աշխատանքը, և դա արտացոլում է կազմակերպության նկատմամբ հանրապետության քաղաքական ղեկավարության՝ այս պահին ձևավորված դիրքորոշումը: Այդ մասին Աստանայում ընթացող ՀԱՊԿ-ի միջոցառումների շրջանակում հայտարարել է ՀԱՊԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Իմանգալի Տասմագամբետովը:

«Միանգամից նշեմ, որ սա անկախ, ինքնիշխան պետության որոշում է, որի վրա ոչ մի պետություն կամ կազմակերպություն չի կարող ազդել։ Այնուամենայնիվ, մենք կարծում ենք, որ Հայաստանը եղել է, կա և մնում է մեր դաշնակիցը։ Մենք հույս ունենք, որ Հայաստանը տեսանելի հեռանկարում կվերադառնա ՀԱՊԿ-ին լիարժեք մասնակցությանը։ Իհարկե, Հայաստանի դիրքորոշումը նույնպես քննարկվել է Հավաքական անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստում»,- նշել է Տասմագամբետովը։
